So.. I finally decided to update this page a bit. Much have happended since my last post, and luckily, most of these things are for the good :)

After I defended my thesis about Coherency Management in Carlsberg, I decided to apply for an industrial Ph.D. about transparency, organizational trust and effectiviness. The industrial Ph.D. is like a normal Ph.D. but with more focus upon the realization of enterprise value. At my second try, the application was accepted, and I'm now about to begin a 3 year period of "commercial" scientific research.

Additionally, I've developed an "Enterprise Architecture" game, which is used at a course at the IT-University of Copenhagen. The game use system dynamics combined with EA best practices to simulate the consequence of different decisions. The game can be seen at http://www.eagame.net. Subsequently, I'm still a teaching assistant at this course, and also provide som "informal" counseling to other students writing their thesis.

Last, I'm also developing the site http://www.sportnu.dk which is also steadily expanding. The vision of that page is to make it easier for people to play sport both in different sports club, and to find areas to exercise sport.

I've defended my thesis and got the grade A (12), which is great and really what I had hoped for :). The contents of the thesis will be presented at a DANSK IT conference March 26, 2010.

A summary of the primary thesis findings will also be available in a short article, which I aim to publish at the end of this month.

Last, I'm really enjoying being a assistant teacher in the ITU Enterprise Architecture course, where I'm assisting in the teaching by helping out on exercises, giving counseling to projects and designing exercises myself.

After 6 month, I've finally handed in my Thesis. Now all there's left is to defend it and (hopefully) get a good grade :-)

I have also been encouraged to present a summary of the Thesis on a conference in March. I think this would be very exciting (and a little frightening too), but I will properly say yes.

Also, the sport project, http://www.sportnu.dk, is really coming along well. However, there's still a lot of improvements which needs to be implemented.

Simultanious with my thesis, I have entered the GMC (http://www.worldgmc.dk/) competition with 2 other ITU students. Currently we're the only one representing ITU, and have been selected by Accenture as one of the groups to represent their company. Let's hope our predictions about the global economy, and especially the current economic state of USA, will lead us to the top :)

Updated 27/11: After 2 decisions rounds, we find ourself at the top #1 in our group. However we still suffer from declining orders, necessary reduction of product quality and overall decreased consumer buying power. Atleast we're not stuck in the middle :P

Updated 21/12: After 5 decisions rounds, we're amongst the top teams qualified to the semi final :). The semi finals will start in Februar and be based on a new set of company scenarios.

I've started to work on my master thesis in collabortion with the Danish brewery Carlsberg. The thesis will follow a large on-going project and be based on some of the following litterature:

The deadline is in february, so there's still a long way to go :)
